Who We Are as Cattle Farmers

The Ghana National Association of Cattle Farmers (GNACAF) is the apex body representing individual and groups of cattle farmers, pastoralists, and other relevant actors across the livestock value chain actors across Ghana. Established in 2008 and formally registered with the Registrar General’s Department in February 2010, GNACAF serves as the national voice of the livestock sector with a particular focus on the cattle industry.

GNACAF is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-tribal, and non-religious organization dedicated to promoting sustainable livestock farming and peaceful pastoralism in Ghana. The total active membership of the organization is estimated at 43,827 nationwide, while general GNACAF advocacy and programs cover over one million farmers and actors in the livestock value chain.
